Erection Dysfunction Causes
Obesity is a common lifestyle cause of erectile dysfunction, alongside other indicators of an unhealthy lifestyle and lack of exercise. Stress and tiredness are of the more common causes of impotence, so this is something that GPs will usually want to discuss with their patients.
Healthy, normal blood flow is required for a normal erection process, and activities or complaints that reduce blood flow can result in erectile dysfunction. These can include nerve diseases, medication side-effects and psychological conditions, and even smoking, drinking and recreational drug use.
In determining the underlying erectile dysfunction causes, it is important to investigate all the possible medical complaints that may be causing the problem. There are a variety of diseases and illnesses to check for, and many forms of prescription medication that cause impotence as a side-effect. If either of these are found to be the cause, they are usually quickly and easily dealt with.

Erectile dysfunction can be very distressing and put real pressure on intimate relationships, but is almost never something that simply needs to be withstood. There are an array of treatments on the market, and the most common causes can be dealt with quickly and effectively – if, in some cases, only temporarily.
